SportDOG® Brand TEK Tracking Units are Legal for Training and Hunting with Dogs in Canada (English)

Knoxville, Tennessee (June 9, 2015) – SportDOG® Brand, an industry-leading brand of electronic dog tracking and training products, reminds dog trainers and hunters that it makes a Canada-legal version of its TEK 1.0 and TEK 2.0 tracking/training collar systems. To view approvals visit the Industry Canada website. For TEK 1.0, search for SDT54-13877 (approved 10/26/12) or SDT54-13878 (approved 11/22/12) in the HVIN field. For TEK 2.0, search TEK 2.0 (approved 5/25/15) in the PMN field.
Industry Canada (IC), a department of the Government of Canada, designates which radio frequencies are available for public use. Tracking collar systems that utilize frequencies other than those specified by IC cannot be operated anywhere in the country. The Canada-legal versions* of SportDOG® TEK 1.0 and TEK 2.0 models operate on IC-approved frequencies and can therefore be used with no restrictions.
